Decorah firefighters called out Friday afternoon

The Decorah Fire Department was called at 12:15 p.m. Friday to the home of Robert Procter at 2583 Golf View Road in Decorah.

On arrival of the firefighters, the fire in a stove at the house had gone out.  However a smoke smell was noted inside the residence, so firefighters used fans to ventilate the home.  The stove was checked for possible fires, with none found.  No injuries were reported.  The Decorah Fire Department says the fire did "minimal" damage.
