City council approves contract for National Register of Historic Places application

The Decorah City Council has approved a contract with Pathfinders CRM, LLC to prepare the application for a National Register of Historic Places designation for the Decorah Municipal Swimming Pool poolhouse.

The cost of the contract will not exceed $4,300.  The majority of the cost--nearly $4,000--will be paid through a state grant.

The contract has the approval of the Decorah Historic Preservation Commission and the support of the Decorah Parks & Recreation Department.
