Police report an armed robbery

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery.

Police say they received a 9-1-1 call around 6:45 Sunday night from a woman who said she had been robbed at gunpoint by two men driving a black four door car with no license plates.  The robbery took place on County Road W-42 north of Ossian.  The victim was not injured during the encounter and was robbed only of cash.  The men concealed their identities by covering their faces with clothing.
