Nordic Fest 2010 had its bad weather--but, fortunately, the rainstorms came late at night or early in the morning.

That meant the 2010 Grand Parade rolled down Water Street without incident.  It also meant the Saturday evening fireworks went on as scheduled.

Nordic Fest Board President Michelle Mullins admits organizers were worried Thursday before the Fest began, but had pretty good weather overall--especially on Saturday.

Mullins says the food vendors did very well at Nordic Fest, with the lefse booth running out of food on Saturday afternoon.  She says Decorah restaurants also seemed to have good crowds.

Some extra help with clean-up on Saturday night and Sunday morning meant Water Street was clean by 9:00 a.m. Sunday.  Mullins says with more Water Street restaurants offering Sunday brunches, there is more traffic downtown on Sunday morning, so Nordic Fest organizers tried really hard to clean up quickly.

Here, then, are some pictures from the 2010 Fest:

The Army got lots of applause
The parade had tractors!
And the giant puppets returned
As always, the Decorah Band sounded good!
