Winneshiek County resident, two others arrested in burglary ring

A Decorah resident and three others face charges in connection with a string of burglaries in Fayette, Winneshiek and Howard counties.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department says 15-year-old Garrett Rotenberger of Decorah and 17-year-old Zachary White of Westgate have been charged in Fayette County Juvenile Court Services for several burglaries.  The charges stem from burglaries at Hawkeye Fun Factory, Hooties Bar and Grill, West Union Trenching and Truck Repair and West Union Aquatic Center.  19-year-old Dustin Mittelsted of West Union is also accused of multiple counts of third-degree burglary. 

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department has also turned evidence over to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department about burglaries at businesses in Ossian and Spillville.
