Nordic Fest gets off to dry start

It view of all the rain Decorah has been getting, the weather for Thursday night's opening ceremonies of the 2010 Nordic Fest was just perfect, thank you kindly.

The ceremony included performances by the Luren Singers, Nordic Dancers, Celebration Iowa Singers and Vocies of Ostfold, Norway.

While some might have been chased away by the threat of rain, a big crowd still jammed the Winneshiek County Courthouse area.  They saw Paul Ulviden open the ceremonies by playing on the Norwegian lur.
