Summer reading program at library does well

Yes, there was the irony of calling the Decorah Public Library's summer reading program "Make A Splash--Read!" and then having the library flood because of plumbing problems.

But otherwise organizers of the summer reading program are declaring the event a big success.  Summer reading program event attendance totaled 1,759 during the six week program.

The summer reading program is over, but not quite wrapped up--kids can still bring in their reading calendars and get the rewards for the amount of reading they did.
