Open meetings law complaint will NOT be pursued

The Winneshiek County resident who filed a complaint against members of the Winneshiek County Planning and Zoning Commission that they had violated Iowa's open meeting statutes says she does not plan to pursue litigation against the members of the commission.

The announcement by Birgitte Meade means the investigation of the actions of the Winneshiek County Planning and Zoning Commission will cease, since any complaint requires a legal filing.

Meade says her request was strictly her own and was in no way associated with a group called Canoe Valley Residents.
