A Clayton County woman has died from injuries suffered last month when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger crashed into a car being driven by a Decorah woman.
22-year-old Rebecca Drees of Earlville had been airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following the traffic accident, which occurred when 71-year-old Jutta Anderson of Decorah slowed down on Highway 13 to make a left turn—and a motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Andrew Makovec of Dubuque crashed into the rear of Anderson's vehicle. Both Makovec and Drees were thrown from the motorcycle. Anderson was uninjured.
