Two-car accident causes $13,000 in damages

A 17-year-old Ossian man has been ticketed for failure to yield the right-of-way following a two-car accident Wednesday in Decorah.

Police say Tanner Jay Heins failed to see the yield sign on Sanford Street at Mill Street and continued into the intersection, striking a car driven by 41-year-old Michael Lechtenberg of Ossian.  Neither driver was injured, but the accident caused $13,000 in damamges.
