The Decorah Public Library will reopen Thursday after being closed for three days in the wake of plumbing problems that flooded part of its building.
Librarian Lorraine Borowski says the library will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday and from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday. After being closed Sunday and Monday for the Fourth of July holiday, the library will reopen with its regular hours on Tuesday.
The scheduled appearances of IPTV Kids Clubhouse host Dan Wardell on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. have been moved to the Decorah Covenant Church.
Also, library patrons are being encouraged to keep their items until the library reopens. Borowski says fines will NOT be charged for returning books and other materials late.
Also the Toys Go 'Round Toy Lending Library will be closed until Thursday, July 8th. No fines will be charged on overdue toys.
