Mr. Answer Person Week continues...

Storm and Leslie both have the same question for Mr. Answer Person: "Could you please tell me what is going on in the field on the corner of 5th Avenue and Valley View Drive?"

Mr. Answer Person says: First, let's talk about what is NOT going on in the field.  The property is not part of Winneshiek County's project to create wetlands--that project is further down Valley View Drive.  Secondly, the property is not owned by Luther College and is not one of the college's sustainability projects.

A search of the parcel on Winneshiek County's real estate website shows the property is owned by Mary and Jerald Carris and Susan Tarrant of Des Moines.  Mr. Answer Person was unable to reach the owners.  However, Decorah City Forester Drew Stevenson says the trees were planted as a reforestation project designed by the Iowa DNR.
