Ask Mr. Answer Person: "What's happening along Highway 52?"

Chris e-mails: "I was wondering what was happening on Highway 52 just north of its intersection with Highway 9.  A driveway was made and land is being leveled."

Mr. Answer Person says: Actually, it's not a driveway, but the latest segment of the Trout Run Trail.  As you observed, crews have begun construction of the trail route along the east side of Highway 52.  Crews were working on removing trees on Wednesday.

The next part of the project you'll probably notice is when crews begin blasting the rock that makes up the cliff along The Cut.  City Engineer Lindsay Erdman says a "pre-blast" conference is being scheduled, after which the work can proceed.
