The Decorah School Board has voted to give School Superintendent Mike Haluska a new three-year contract. The move came Monday night following a closed session in which the school board completed its superintendent evaluation.
Earlier this year Superintendent Mike Haluska and other school district administrators had suggested their pay be frozen because of the tight school budget. The Decorah School Board agreed to the salary freeze. However, school board members did not act at that time on the length of Haluska's contract renewal.
