WMT Tractorcade being called a success

The 2010 WMT Tractorcade in Winneshiek County attracted an estimated crowd of up to 900 people, according to WCCVB Director Brenda Balk.

The tractorcade ended Wednesday morning as the tractors headed north to Highway 52, traveled to Hesper and then returned to Decorah via Locust Road.

Tuesday night's "shine time" at the Fairgrounds attracted a large crowd.  The Winneshiek Cattlemen's dinner and the Done Doin' Laundry concert at the Lansing Building attracted large crowds.

While the Tractorcade had rain during much of its four day run, Balk says the tractor drivers she spoke with said the weather didn't bother them.  Said one person, "We're farmers!"
