NE Iowa Montessori School names new director

The Northeast Iowa Montessori School has named Jennifer Fisher its director.

Jones comes to NEIM with 25 years of teaching experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College and holds an Iowa Teaching License with a K-12 Art Endorsement from the University of Iowa. Jennifer has experience teaching in private and public schools in Iowa and California and has also designed and taught after school programs and summer art camps at various schools and institutions, including at Decorah's Arthaus.
 
In addition to taking early childhood workshops, Jennifer is currently attending an intensive 5-week Primary Foundations course at the AMI Montessori Training Center of Minnesota in Saint Paul. Jennifer will also be obtaining her National Administrators Credential later this summer.

Jennifer and her husband Brian moved to Decorah in 2004.  They have two children, 5-year-old Adam and 3-year-old Greta, both of whom are Montessori students.
