Want an easy way to get to the Iowa State Fair?

A new "State Fair Express" will allow Decorah residents to ride to the Iowa State Fair in style this august.  The fair board has announced plans to sell tickets on a Windstar Lines charter coach from Decorah to Des Moines on Sunday, August 15th, leaving the Quillin's parking lot at 6:15 a.m. 

The State Fair Express ticket costs $45 for adults and $41 for kids and includes round trip transportation on a Windstar Lines motor coach; admission to the Iowa State Fair; a complimentary bottle of water; a Fair coupon book offering food and drink discounts with more than $30 in savings; a daily State Fair Program with map of the Fairgrounds; and easy pickup and drop off in the Fair's North Lot at Gate 15.

To book a trip on the State Fair Express or to ask questions about the trip, call Windstar Lines at (888) 494-6378.  Reservations will be taken Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Payment must be made in full at the time of reservation.  Windstar accepts Visa and MasterCard.

Reservations can be made up to one week prior to departure.  No refunds will be issued.  The State Fair Express runs rain or shine.

A minimum of 30 people must book for the trip to run, cancellation of the trip will occur 7 days prior to departure and you will be notified by Windstar Lines if this occurs.  If the trip is canceled, refunds will be given.
