Crack down on drunk driving results in traffic citations

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it issued 125 additional traffic citations or warnings in May, thanks to the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau's Alcohol Incentive Grant.

Money from the state funded the crack down on impaired drivers in Winneshiek County from May 1st through May 31st.

The 125 citations or warnings included four drunk driving citations and three public intoxication citations.
