Contract approved for construction of next segment of Trout Run Trail

The Decorah City Council has awarded a contract to Skyline Construction of Decorah to build Segment 8 of the Trout Run Trail.  Skyline submitted the low bid of just over $866,000 to the city.

The trail segment in question--Segment 8--runs from the current end of the trail near Trout Run Road to a spot just west of Middle Calmar Road.  It includes underpasses for Trout Run Road and Middle Calmar Road.  The trail segment is around 2,000 feet long.
