NICC to offer Motorcycle Rider Education courses

Northeast Iowa Community College will offer Motorcycle Rider Education
courses in Calmar in late June and the month of July.
 
The Basic Rider Course fulfills the mandatory requirements of motorcycle driver education for those under the age of 18. Students who are under 18 must be at least 15 years old and possess an instruction permit valid for motorcycle or automobile.
 
Weekend courses are available to anyone wishing to learn or improve proper motorcycle riding skills in a safe, controlled environment.  Classroom size is limited to 12 students, with a maximum driving range class size of six, to allow for personal instruction. The course includes 15 total hours of classroom and bike time.  Motorcycles and helmets are provided.
