Luther College has established the "Williams Endowment Fund" to help support the school's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture.
The fund is named in recognition of Lawrence and Queen Williams, former Luther faculty, for their dedication and years of service to Luther College. Lawrence Williams developed and promoted the college's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture.
Lawrence Williams joined the Luther faculty in 1985. He taught Africana studies, history and Paideia courses until his retirement in 2010.
Queen Williams served as a teacher in the Paideia program from 1988-2000 as a participant and co-leader for study-away courses to the American South and Africa.
