How do you celebrate reaching your reading goals?  If you're 5th graders in Decorah, you celebrate in a big way--literally a big way.

A Blackhawk helicopter visited the 5th graders at Decorah Middle School this week as a reward for the students reaching their individualized reading goals.

The helicopter flew over the school and landed on the field behind Decorah Middle School and Carrie Lee School.  Local Army recruiters also brought a Hummer to the celebration.  Students also were able to participate in a water balloon toss, an obstacle course, and even got a chance to camouflage a teacher--with paint.
