There was a lot of discussion at the latest Oneota Co-of Board of Directors meeting this week about ways the board communicates with its members. The board is reviewing the methods of communication it uses, comparing them to those used by other coops and developing ways to better integrate electronic media into the old methods of posting agenda and minutes at the Coop.
At its latest meeting the Co-op Board also voted to drop a clause from the Board Member Code of Conduct that would have given the board the right to oust a board member if the board voted there was even the appearance of a conflict of interest involving that board member. The Co-op's legal advisor had told the group such language would not be enforceable so the board voted to delete it.
