The Decorah High School Community Club and Student Council are raising money to help bring a mobile packing unit from "Feed My Starving Children" to Decorah this fall.  If over $17,000 can be raised, the unit would enable volunteers (both children and adults) to hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children to be shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world.

Students are selling tubes of mini M&M's for $1.00.  Students and staff are then being encouraged to fill the empty containers with quarters and return them to the high school office.  The $14.00 in quarters that the containers hold will feed 82 people.  (Donations of any amount are welcomed and appreciated).

Sophomore Gabriel Eide, who is spearheading this project, said, "The mission of Decorah Feeds 100,000 is to provide an opportunity for an intergenerational event with people working side by side in fundraising activities and packing meals to feed starving people around the world.:  Any organizations that are willing to partner in this project should contact her at decorahfeeds100000@gmail.com.

Donations will be accepted in the high school office until the end of May.  Questions can be directed to Liz Fox at the high school.
