Kinderhaus program director receives National Administrator Credential

The Kinderhaus program in Decorah has announced that its director, Alicia Trout, has completed the National Administrator Credential.  NAC is recognized as a mark of excellence that designates individuals who have demonstrated the knowledge essential to managing an early childhood program.

The certification training took place recently in Des Moines.  Participants learned how to develop their organization and program; implement appropriate curriculum and food programs; institute marketing and communication initiatives; manage people, including legal issues, staff recruitment and supervision; maintain their facility; understand legal and regulatory issues; and create strong financial management systems.

Kinderhaus, which meets at Good Shepherd Church in Decorah, is a licensed preschool for ages three through six. Kinderhaus meets from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Mondays through Thursdays from September through May. Registration is open for the 2010-2011 school year.
