Calmar man arrested on for sexual harassment on Prairie Farmer bike path

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has made an arrest in connection with the case of a teenage girls who reported she had been sexually harassed on the Prairie Farmer Trail near Calmar Wednesday night.

The girl said two young white men in the 20s made sexual comments to her as she was walking on the bike trail.  One of the two ran up behind the girl and grabbed her butt while making lewd comments and trying to touch her elsewhere.  The girl ran back to her car and called 9-1-1.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it interviewed 23-year-old Travis Wayne Giddings about the incident.  Sheriff's deputies then place Giddings under arrest.  He has been charged with assault and with harassment and is being held in the Winneshiek County Jail.
