Decorah man injured in car-motorcycle accident

A Decorah man was injured in a collision between his motorcycle and a car Monday afternoon.

64-year-old Jim Long was struck by a car driven by 51-year-old Nika Lee of Decorah at the intersection of River Street and Day Spring Lane around 12:50 Monday afternoon.  Long was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center, then taken to St, Mary's Hospital in Rochester by helicopter.  Long is listed in serious condition.

The Decorah Police Department says its investigation into the accident is continuing.  It is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact police officer Bill Nixon at 382-3667.
