The Decorah Community School Board has authorized its board president, Mona Nelson, to write a letter of support to the City Council in regard to the multi-group REPSI project. The project involves the City of Decorah,  Decorah Parks and Recreation, Luther College, and the Decorah Schools, with possible support from the Winneshiek County Supervisors.  Tennis courts, soccer fields, cross country training fields, and a softball complex are included in the project.

The School Board commitment basically involves a pledge toward the tennis courts ($125,000) and reconstruction of the girls softball complex ($175,000). Board commitment also includes purchase of land including and surrounding the current girls softball complex that is owned by the city.
