The North Winneshiek School Board has approved the 2010-2011 master agreement with the North Winneshiek Education Association.
The total package increase will be 4.08 percent, which includes salary and benefits. There will be one combined salary schedule beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. The Teacher Salary Supplement will be incorporated into the regular salary schedule to produce one base number, which is $28,850. The school board and the teachers' association will use the new base number to negotiate in succeeding years. The new salary schedule will be paid from September 2010 through August 2011.
The district will provide teachers with a $1,000 deductible health insurance plan which includes office and drug co-pays. Teachers will also continue to receive single dental insurance, life insurance, accidental death/dismemberment and long term disability at district cost.
The North Winn School Board also approved a 4.08 percent salary increase for support staff for next school year. The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates, and a nurse.
