Radiology services should be back to normal in a few months at Winneshiek Medical Center

Winneshiek Medical Center officials hope they have finally resolved staffing issues in the hospital's radiology department.

Last year Dr. David Jensen resigned from his job at the hospital.  Then Dr. Jensen's replacement, Dr. Kirby Clark decided to move back to Dubuque in February.

Since then radiology services have been provided by temporary fill-in radiologists and by radiologists providing services remotely.

Now the hospital is hiring a permanent radiologist, Dr. Richard Remark.  However, Dr. Remark won't arrive for a few more months--perhaps in late August.

On Wednesday the WMC Board of Trustees Approved provisional courtesy medical staff privileges for Locum Radiologist Dr. Jeffrey Arnholt and for Virtual Radiologist Dr. Curtiss Farrell and approved regular courtesy medical staff privileges for Virtual Radiologist Dr. James Turner, Gundersen Lutheran Radiologists Dr. Gabriel Dumitran and Dr, Steve Krueckeberg and Mayo Clinic radiologist Dr. Christopher Johansen.
