Solberg named 2010 Educator of the Year by the Iowa Athletic Trainers Society

Luther College Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education Brian Solberg, the director of the school's Athletic Training Education Program, has been named the 2010 Educator of the Year by the Iowa Athletic Trainers Society.  The award is given to a member of the organization who has shown outstanding abilities in educating at the high school, collegiate, or other allied health care work settings.

Solberg is a 1988 graduate of Luther College.  He completed his Masters Degree in Exercise Science with an Emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Iowa in 1992.  He returned to Luther College in 1992 to serve as Assistant Athletic Trainer.  Solberg served the Iowa Athletic Trainers' Society as Public Relations Director in 1999-2000.
