Ask Mr. Answer Person: Is there a vet who will neuter my cat for free?

This is NOT Mr. Answer Person's cat!

Val e-mails us: "Is there a vet or society in the Decorah area that will neuter cats for free or for a donation?  I have 2 females and cannot afford $245 each for them."

Mr. Answer Person also has two cats, so he understands that neutering is expensive.  However, he has struck out on finding a solution to your problem.  Sue from PAW e-mails us: "PAW does not have any funds available.  Most of PAW's efforts are currently focused on the fostering and adopting of animals and fund raising for the shelter."

This is the problem with dogs and cats--there are very little funds to help get these pets spayed or neutered--which means they breed and create even more dogs and cats that aren't spayed or neutered!
