Sheriff's deputies are investigating scrap metal thefts

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has begun an investigation into recent thefts of iron and scrap metal from the Winneshiek County Recycling Center.

Police are asking anyone living in the area of the Recycling Center to contact the Sheriff's Department if they have seen vehicles or trucks with trailers in the area.

Similar cases have occurred at different locations in Winneshiek County.  The Sheriff's Department believes the cases are all related to the same set of suspects.
