Marshalltown wins Iowa Envirothon

A group of five Marshalltown high school students has won the 15th annual Iowa Envirothon competition.   Bellevue FFA finished in second place, followed by Maquoketa FFA and LaPorte-Dysart FFA, who tied for third.

Two Decorah Envirothon teams participated in the state Envirothon competition--the defending state champion "Teddy Arctos" team of Chance Beard, Scotty Hendricks, Eli Klosteboer, Thomas Locke, Gabe Smith and Sam Zook--and the "Enviro Squad" of Sarah Brandt, Bethany Davidson, Maddy Johansen, Jonathan Knudson and John Werner.

Marshalltown will now compete at the national competition, the Canon Envirothon, held August 1st through August 6th in Fresno, California.
