City of Decorah announces its 2010 Street Improvement Project

The Decorah City council has approved at least ten road construction projects for this summer.  The list includes:

• Mechanic street from Sanford to W. Water Street
• Laurel Drive from Locust Road
• Leif Erickson Drive from Ohio Street to College Drive
• Center Street between Mound Street and High Street
• Riverview Drive from Mound Street to Fifth Avenue
• West Street from Mound Street to Fifth Avenue
• Mound Street from Center street to the east end
• Dudley Street from Paine to Division and from Division to Mechanic Street
• College Drive from Water Street to Heivly Street
• State Street from E. Main Street to E. Water Street

Three other street projects are subject to the availability of enough funding:

• The Riverview Drive and North Street intersection
• W. Main Street from Mill Street to Court Street
• Third Street from South Avenue to Winneshiek Avenue
