Old Creamery Theatre is recognizing several Decorah students

A number of Decorah area students have received special recognition from the Old Creamery Theatre for their entries in this year's writing competition.

Decorah fifth grader Helen Johnson has won grand prize of a $100 Barnes and Noble gift certificate for her winning short story, "A Honey-Flavored Snickers Bar."  Decorah fourth grader Kaylee Knight won first prize for her story, "My Life By Buddy."   Sixth grader Melanie Gossman won second prize for "Two Penguins, a Pair of Ice Skates and a Competition."  North Winneshiek second grader Caden Stoen, Decorah sixth grader Naomi Davidson, and sixth graders Autumn DeLong, Katie Perez and Kalle Solberg all won third place recognition.
