Third Decorah bald eagle egg has hatched

There are now three eaglets

And then there were three.

The third Decorah bald eagle egg hatched on Saturday.    The last baby eagle is one week younger than the first eaglet.  But Raptor Resource Director Bob Anderson says everything looks OK so far.

Bald eagles typically lay two eggs per year, although it is not uncommon for a bald eagle couple to have three eaglets--as the Decorah bald eagle pair had last year.
