Seed Savers recognized by Silos & Smokestack program

Seed Savers Exchange of Decorah has received a "Golden Silo."

Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area presented the award to Seed Savers representatives at last week's annual Golden Silo Awards Luncheon.  The awards are presented to individuals and organizations for preserving and telling the stories of American agriculture.

Seed Savers was presented the "Alan Hutchings Outstanding Visionary Award."  The award recognizes Seed Savers for its sustained support of the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area, for creating a legacy in heritage development and for providing leadership in the heritage development movement.
