Iowa Governor Chet Culver

Members of the Decorah City council wanted Iowa Governor Chet Culver to know how they feel about an increase in the state's gasoline tax.  So they wrote a letter to Culver, telling him they thought an increase in the gas tax was necessary to keep Iowa's roads in good shape.

City council member Steve Matter says the city has gotten a letter from Culver in response to their letter.  Matter says Culver has told the city he does not support increasing the gasoline tax.  Matter calls the response "disappointing."
