Decorah Yard Waste site is now open

The Decorah Yard Waste site, located on Trout Run Road south of Highway 9, is now open for the season.

The site will be open from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Saturdays.

The Yard Waste Site will accept yard waste only from properties within the Decorah city limits. The yard waste must be hauled to the site by a City of Decorah resident.

There will be three distinct areas for yard waste at the site: 1) grass clippings, leaves and garden waste; 2) sticks, twigs and branches; and 3) firewood.

All residents are responsible for separating and depositing their yard waste in the appropriate areas.
