Decorah Internet entrepreneurs Peter Awad and Jason Trout will be offering two sessions of "How to Start an Internet Business" this May in Decorah. The purpose of the class is to give attendees all of the information they need to start an online business of their own.
The classes will discuss the benefits of starting a web based business, including low start-up costs and the ability to launch a business while keeping your current job. The class will review of the four basic Internet business models including advertising based, retail, forum and service. It will discuss Web design and the variety of web-hosting options that are available. Other topics will include Internet marketing strategies; website keywords; merchant affiliate programs; and e-mail newsletters.
There will be two class sessions--May 13th and 14th and May 15th and 16th, with both sessions running from 10:00a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days in the Steyer Opera House, Hotel Winneshiek.
