Winneshiek Medical Center looking for garden volunteers

Winneshiek Medical Center is looking for volunteers to help with a garden at
the hospital. Anyone who has a flexible schedule and is willing to donate
some time to this project can contact Beth Holthaus at 563-387-3036 at the
hospital for more details.

Planting will take place one whole day the last week in May. Weeding and
watering will be ongoing throughout the summer months. Harvesting needs to
be done when the crops are ready. The volunteers should have flexible
schedules due to weather circumstances. If there is a chance of rain, we
may want to get out there and weed pretty heavy the day before. We would
love to hear from people who could commit a couple hours a week and watch
this project from start to finish.
