It's probably safe to say you've never seen someone quite like Tomas Kubinek before. Kubinek identifies himself as a "Certified Lunatic and Master of the Impossible."

Kubinek has toured London and New York City with a one-man show that combined elements of theatre and music-hall. The show was hailed for its "comic brilliance, virtuosic vaudeville and irresistible charm."

decorahnews.com has learned that Kubinek will be coming to Decorah in November--and bringing the 82-piece Orchestra Iowa with him.

The exact date and location of the concert have not yet been announced, but plans call for Decorah to be one of four locations for the worldwide premiere of "An Evening at The Symphony with Dr. Prof. Tomás Kubínek."

Kubínek and Orchestra Iowa music director Timothy Hankewich have been working on this project for more than a year. "The amazing music we are using and the sheer power of the orchestra coupled with my own humor and love of the absurd will reach people on a very deep level and leave them elated and grinning from ear to ear," Kubínek said.
