Thrivent Financial contributes $1,000 to "Women, Faith and Finance"

The Greater Iowa Regional Financial Office of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has awarded $1,000 to Luther College to help underwrite Luther's sixth annual "Women, Faith and Finance" program.

The one-day educational seminar will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 9th, at the Hotel Winneshiek. It will provide women of all ages an opportunity to learn more about financial management, retirement planning, estate planning and charitable giving.

Keynote speaker Jenny Norris Peterson will urge women to embrace the role of philanthropy. The program will also include concurrent sessions led by area professionals on topics such as college savings strategies, life planning tools, investing and budgeting. The event will conclude with a presentation addressing the local and national impact of the current economy.
