Grant will help Decorah Airport inspect pavement

A federal grant will help the Iowa Department of Transportation to inspect the pavement condition at 24 Iowa airports, including Decorah. The $95,000 Federal Aviation Administration grant will be used to establish and maintain a pavement maintenance and management program. The Iowa Department of Transportation will make recommendations to the airports, based on the results of its inspections. The study will also include the West Union airport.
