Frankville Fire Department receives federal grant

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded a $4,167 grant to the Frankville Fire Department. The money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency comes from the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Operations and Safety Program. That program pays for training, equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness and health and safety modifications to stations and facilities.

The Monona Fire Department also received a grant from the program, receiving $69,825.
