NICC offering classes on motivation and effective discipline

Northeast Iowa Community College is offering two classes, "Balancing Love and Discipline - The Teen Years" and "Motivating the Unmotivated Child" at the NICC Waukon Center.

"Balancing Love and Discipline - The Teen Years" will be held on Tuesday, March 23, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Room 113. In this class, participants will gain an understanding of how to communicate with teens, what motivates them and effective use of discipline and setting boundaries.

"Motivating the Unmotivated Child" will be held on Tuesday, March 30, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Room 113. In this class participants will discuss ways to lay the groundwork for clear expectations, which can help to improve communication and minimize parent-child conflicts.
