Hospital's financial picture is brightening

The financial picture at Winneshiek Medical Center continues to improve. While the hospital lost money late in 2008 and early in 2009, it reported another net gain in January of 2010.

Winneshiek Medical Center had net patient revenues of $3,777,929 in January. Net expenses totaled $3,495,476. After non-operating revenues were added, there was a final net gain of $411,801 for January. That means the hospital has shown a net gain during all seven months in FY 2010. Overall in FY 2010 the hospital has shown a net gain of $1,389,054.
