Northeast Iowa Community College will offer a self-paced Welding Lab Training class every Thursday from March 18th through April 29th, with the exception of April 1st. The class will be held at the Ag Technologies welding lab at the Calmar campus.
The class is customized to each participant's skill level, whether students have never welded or need a welding skills upgrade. Welding instructor Dale Huber will guide students in Stiwck, GMAW (MIG), TIG, wire feed, aluminum or steel welding techniques. Students choose what types of welding they want to learn and receive individual attention as part of their learning. An 18- hour completion certificate is awarded for successful completion of the class.
Because there are a limited number of spots, interested participants should register for Welding Lab Training soon by calling NICC at (800) 728-2256, extension 399. For more information, contact NICC continuing education program manager Mary Steen at extension 341.
