The Decorah High School Community Club has raised $2,320 for the relief effort in Haiti.
Decorah High School students Josh Martin and Jacob Knobbe started the drive by enlisting the help of several classmates from various student organizations. They decorated and placed containers for monetary donations in classrooms and at businesses throughout the community.
Martin and Knobbe remarked: "We were excited that the community and the student body met this challenge with such enthusiasm. We want to wholeheartedly thank the local businesses for enabling our campaign by hosting our donation buckets. Last, but not least, we want to thank the community and the DHS student body for showing such compassion in the face of this crisis."
